According to Malaysiakini, Cheras Umno is now collecting funds to support Utusan Malaysia which is facing a defamation suit from Pakatan Rakyat MP YB Teresa Kok. Kicking off the fund with a RM20,000 contribution, division head Syed Ali Al Habshee said the Tabung Azan would also be used to assist mosques and suraus that needed money to buy loudspeakers for the purpose of the azan (call to prayer). What's disturbing here is that Umno is onceagain playing the racila and religious card to cause communial strive in the country and the Police is blind to this fact! Syed Ali Al Habshee was quoted as saying “Teresa has challenged the honour of Malays by suing Utusan Malaysia as it is a newspaper owned by the Malays. He went on to add "Challenging the Malays is similar to challenging Umno,”.
In a letter to HINDRAF Chairman P. Waytha Moorthy dated Oct 11, 2008, SRIHERO revealed that Utusan Malaysia belongs to Umno.
The following is a Press Statement by HINDRAF about the open challenge HINDRAF has made to Utusan Malaysia, TV3 and Home Minister Syed Hamid Albar PROVE their unfounded allegations made against HINDRAF.
KENYATAAN AKHBAR

And we have the president of all bloggers providing his support.
Freedom Of The Press, the way rockybru sees it.
I had a conversation with God.
Me: Why are you not interfering like I asked in my prayers? I asked for justice to be done. I asked for those who are corrupt to be removed from power. I asked you to interfere, to remove these people and put in place a government that will restore the peace, harmony, trust, stability and justice to our country. I asked you to heal our country.
God: Why are you whining, my child? You are not the one who is suffering in jail without the right to a trial in court. You are not the one who has his freedom taken from him, not the one separated from his loved ones, not the one having to endure solitary confinement, not the one having to bear with the rehabilitation brainwash, not the one having to eat smelly food and get sick, not the one faced with several court charges, not the one being shuttled in and out of court in handcuffs.. need I go on?
Me: But I am suffering too. I am heartbroken to see all the injustice done to the very person who’s standing up for me!
God: Is writing a post in your blog suffering? Is going to Kamunting to show support suffering? Is going for the candle light vigil suffering? Is wearing a T-shirt to show your support suffering? Is signing a petition suffering? Is sending that email to the prime minister suffering? Is attending court hearings suffering? Do you want to change places with him?
Me: But why put us through all this? Why can’t you interfere, cause a change in government without protest?
God: You still do not see the point. Can’t you see that you are not ready to receive the new government? You are still divided as a country. It is through these challenges that you will unite as one. I don’t see enough of that now. Some of you are still doubtful and self-centered. There is more to be done. Until you are absolutely of one heart, one mind, only then will I will give a new government.
Me: But this is going to be an impossible task!
God: Everything is possible for him who believes.
Me: This is going to take forever!
God: When the way is rough, your patience has a chance to grow. So let it grow, and don’t try to squirm out of your problems. For when your patience is finally full bloom, then you will be ready for anything, strong in character, full and complete.
Me: So there’s hope? We just need to persevere.
God: Yes, my child. Now, do you still want to change places with him?
Me: No.. I am fine suffering here! Thank you God!
Time and again, I reflect on my guilt conscience, that Raja Petra is in there and I am out here. And nothing I do will ever be enough. This conversation with God tells me to be patient and to persevere. By doing that I am helping to free Raja Petra. I MUST NOT AND CANNOT GIVE UP HOPE!
