The Pahang Islamic Religious Department (JAIP) is prepared to proceed with the caning of part-time model Kartika Sari Dewi Shukarnor, 32, after Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
Home Minister Hishamuddin Hussein approved the caning of Kartika saying that he was given a demonstration by a female prison officer as to how Kartika would be caned and was satisfied with what he saw. Hishamuddin's approval of the caning had some quarters jumping for joy as they saw it as a victory for Islam. Hishamuddin himself is now seen by certain people like the folks from PEWARIS. PEKIDA, ABIM, Zulkifli Nordin, Ibrahim Ali, Perak Mufti Harussani Zakaria, Moralist Redhuan Tee Abdullah et al as a true Muslim leader who is willing to risk his political future by supporting the caning of Kartika.
However, what about those Muslims who continue to drink but yet no action is taken against them as the following combo of photos reveal. Can someone deny that the man in the photo is not Hishamuddin?
I propose that the Pahang Islamic Council haul up Mirzan Mahathir for investing in a Filipino brewery and promoting beer drinking on a massive scale. For Mirzan it must be at least 20 strokes, on his bare buttocks.
