MALAYSIA IS AN UNCIVILIZED COUNTRY!

“I got six. Its just incredible pain. More like a burning - like someone sticking an iron on your bum. That’s the sort of feeling. Pain - just ultimate pain. The strokes come at a rate of one a minute - but it seemed like a lifetime to me. I waited and waited for the first one and as soon as I let my breath out - “baam”. Afterwards my bum looked like a side of beef. There was three lines of raw skin with blood oozing out.”

- New Zealander, Aaron Cohen who received six strokes of the rotan in 1982

By ADMIN

Judge Dredd is a law enforcement officer in a violent city of the future where uniformed Judges combine the powers of police, judge, jury and executioner. Dredd and his fellow Judges are empowered to arrest, sentence and even execute criminals on the spot. It appears now in Malaysia we have our own Judge Dredd. Sessions Court judge Zainal Abidin Kamaruddin had ruled that he would cane Muhammad Syafiq in the presence of his parents in court on July 15 under Section 293(1)(c) of the Criminal Procedure Code (CPC).

In an immediate response, Bar Council chairman Ragunath Kesavan said the council would write to the senior High Court judge tomorrow for a revision of the “rotan” sentence to be meted against Muhammad Syafiq by the judge himself. According to Ragunath, The CPC provides for such a sentence but it’s a fundamental principle of the role of a judge in the criminal justice system that he cannot be both judge and executioner. In agreement, DAP chairman Karpal Singh and former UN Special Rapporteur for the Independence of Judges and Lawyers Datuk Param Cumaraswamy urged the Chief Justice himself to intervene in this case. Param added that this action goes against international human rights laws. Karpal said that, although Section 288(4) of the CPC states that this type of “whipping” shall be inflicted by way of rattan, a judge implementing his own sentence would infringe the doctrine of separation of powers.

International organizations such as Amnesty International and the UN Human Rights Committee have condemned whipping and other forms of corporal punishment as cruel, inhumane or degrading punishment and contrary to human rights law. The UN Committee against Torture has called for the abolition of corporal punishment and the UN Special Rapporteur on Torture has stated that “corporal punishment” is inconsistent with the prohibition of torture and other cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment or punishment. View video on how whipping is done in Malaysia here http://www.corpun.com/vidju.htm

The reputation of the Malaysian Judiciary is already in tatters and now we have this clown of a Judge by the name of Zainal Abidin Kamaruddin wanting to be Judge Dredd. Now it comes as no surprise that we have morons like Zainal Abidin sitting on the Bench who before long will be 'rewarded' for their stupidity with a 'Datukship', 'Tan Sriship' or even a 'Tunship'. This moron Zainal Abidin should just resign from the Bench and become a school Headmaster where he can inflate his male ego by whipping the ass of schoolboys day in and day out.

What The Scribe can't understand is that there are Malaysians who would support such a barbaric, cruel and uncivilized punishment whether in schools or in prison. The whipping carried out in our prisons can only be carried out by an individual who is both sadistic and evil. The same can be said of those who participate and support such a cruel and inhumane punishment see Video here http://www.corpun.com/vidju.htm The person who carries out these whippings are no different from the violent criminals they whip. It is time this country joins the ranks of the civilized world and put an end to whippings whether in schools or in prison. On a final note, The Scribe calls on the Chief Justice to sack Zainal Abidin for making a mockery of the country's Judiciary and also the nation as a whole.

By VIJAY KUMAR MURUGAVELL

On 22nd May 2009, PAS Elections Director Datuk Mustafa Ali said"Barisan will surely lose. So it might as well not bother to contest," I agree with Datuk Mustafa Ali, PAS has held the Manik Urai seat for 5 terms, when BN could not even retain its Kuala Terengganu seatwhere it was the incumbent in a by election. BN of course has decided to contest, that is their right, but the actions highlighted above are not within their rights. After a hatrick of by election losses BN seems desperate for a win in Manik Urai.

Desperate is an understatement, more like blatant abuse. It is an election offence to use MINDEF and the Education Ministry. What happened to Najib's statement that there will be no more "Maggi Mee" or instant projects that are rolled out just before elections ?Or is the BN afraid that it cannot play its postal voter trump card owing to the fact that there are only 25 postal voter's in Manik Urai ? The Deputy Education Minister has no business canvassing votes from teachers under a thinly veiled disguise of advancing the education agendathen making a statement that implies that their status will be upgraded if the vote was given to BN.

In most developed countries the Minister of Defence and Education would have resigned in shame. What is SPR doing about this ? Are they ignorant that it is an offence to use public facilities for election purposes ?With all the hue and cry they made over "pondok panas" and reminders to stop campaigning on polling day, have they now conveniently forgotten that campaigning can only start on nomination day on 06 July and stop at midnight on 13 July ?SPR should stop all campaigning and issue warnings to any party that flouts this rule whether Opposition or BN.

SPR will for the first time, be issuing coloured stickers to identify the party vehicles -- BN will have blue stickers, Pas green and independents orange.Since this will be to control traffic for party vehicles ferrying voters to the polling center's, why discriminate by color codes ?Does it matter from which party the vehicles belong to if their function is to ferry voters ? Or is there a hidden nefarious purpose ? If SPR cannot do their job without fear or favor they should just step aside and allow MAFREL to show them how it is done.

While I am at it I also want to point out PDRM's misplaced sense of priorities, what is the big idea behind deploying a police force of 1,000 to oversee a by election in a sleepy hollow with a population of 25,000 (of which only 12,293 are registered voters)while high crime townships like Klang with a population of 1,000,000 is policed by a force of only 700 ?The standard reply " to ensure security " will no longer fly, when time and again the police have been known to break up opposition"ceramah" and intimidate supporters.

Another blunder is attempting to charge Kelantan menteri besar Tok Guru (Nik Abdul Aziz) under sedition for his chastizing of UMNO,I suppose instead of engaging Tok Guru on what he said, once again they are bandying the sedition card, an act that has been thrown at many dissenters but somehow was never used against blatantly seditious politicians who are alligned to BN. In George Town, Kelantan Barisan Nasional secretary Datuk Md Alwi Che Ahmad said the state Barisan wanted Nik Aziz to make a public apology to the coalition or face possible legal action.Alwi then goes on to say ‘‘Nik Abdul Aziz should also not travel in any MAS aircraft since it is a government-linked company.”

UMNO Penang factions seem to be the most vociferous and boorish but seem to shoot of their mouth without engaging the brain. What has that got to do with anything ? Going by Alwi's rationale should he also leave Penang, as the state is ruled by the opposition ? In the coming days we can expect the compliant mainstream media with its obedient spinwriters dishing out heavy doses of propaganda, while insulting the intelligence of the general public with the worn out strategy of using psywar to coerce voters to back a perceived "winning horse".

Remember all those spinwriters who came up with a barrage of analysis on why BN will win in the Permatang Pauh by elections ?Remember the NST front-page article "Blue wave sweeps over Kelantan" in the run up to the 12th General Elections ?Well, we all know that not only BN lost, but were trounced after making those grandiose proclamations.Read my lips : Psyway ala Khir Toyo's " zero opposition in Selangor" will not work.

Democracy is not just about free elections but fair ones, even if you are a BN supporter you should voice out these concerns to your elected representatives, because sooner than you think the tables could be turned in the not too distant future.I can assure you that I would lambast Pakatan Rakyat too if they condone similar abuses in the event they obtain federal power.

BREAKING NEWS Coroner on Michael Jackson's Death: No Foul Play

"He's (Micheal Jackson) not conscious...he's on the bed...we have a personal doctor here with him, but he's not responding to anything. Not CPR, he's not responding to anything."

- An Anonymous Caller to 911

BREAKING NEWS

The LA County Coroner just held a press conference to announce that Michael Jackson's autopsy has been completed. He said that there was no trauma to Michael’s body and there was “no indication of foul play.” However the Coroner did note that Michael had been “taking prescription medications.” The coroner did not announce the official cause of Jackson’s death because more testing is necessary, including a toxicology report that must be completed. This will take about 4-6 weeks, but may be expedited. The coroner also added that Michael was officially pronounced dead in the ER of UCLA Medical. His body will be released after 6PM.

Meanwhile. a friend of Michael Jackson’s has come forward to say that he wasn't surprised by his death. This comes as a shock since the entire world feels like it came out of the blue. But to this particular friend, it was not. The source who remains unnamed revealed that Michael had been suffering from cardiac problems for weeks leading up to his death. The source says, “I last saw Michael on June 16th and he told me then he wasn’t well. He told me, ‘I haven’t been feeling well lately. I am having problems with my chest’. He touched his chest as he said it, indicating to me he was having heart trouble. It was also visibly obvious that he was having trouble breathing.” “He was so very, very slim that last day I saw him. And his hands were extremely dry and scaly. It was like he had severe psoriasis. I loved Michael but I was sadly not surprised by the news of his passing.”

On another development, Lisa Marie Presley is one of the people who perhaps knows Michael Jackson the best. The two were only married for 20 months in the mid-nineties, but she’s one of the few people who was a part of Michael’s small bubble. This morning, Lisa wrote an entry on her Myspace blog entitled “He Knew,” which touches upon Michael’s fear he had about his own death. The entry reads:

He Knew. Years ago Michael and I were having a deep conversation about life in general. I can't recall the exact subject matter but he may have been questioning me about the circumstances of my Fathers Death (Elvis Presley). At some point he paused, he stared at me very intensely and he stated with an almost calm certainty, "I am afraid that I am going to end up like him, the way he did." I promptly tried to deter him from the idea, at which point he just shrugged his shoulders and nodded almost matter of fact as if to let me know, he knew what he knew and that was kind of that. 14 years later I am sitting here watching on the news an ambulance leaves the driveway of his home, the big gates, the crowds outside the gates, the coverage, the crowds outside the hospital, the Cause of death and what may have led up to it and the memory of this conversation hit me, as did the unstoppable tears. BREAKING NEWS: MICHAEL JACKSON DIES!

BREAKING NEWS

LOS ANGELES – Michael Jackson, the sensationally gifted child star who rose to become the "King of Pop" and the biggest celebrity in the world only to fall from his throne in a freakish series of scandals, died Thursday. He was 50. Jackson died at UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles. Ed Winter, the assistant chief coroner for Los Angeles County, confirmed his office had been notified of the death and would handle the investigation.

The circumstances of Jackson's death were not immediately clear. Jackson was not breathing when Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to a call at his Los Angeles home about 12:30 p.m., Capt. Steve Ruda told the Los Angeles Times. The paramedics performed CPR and took him to UCLA Medical Center, Ruda told the newspaper.

Jackson's death brought a tragic end to a long, bizarre, sometimes farcical decline from his peak in the 1980s, when he was popular music's premier all-around performer, a uniter of black and white music who shattered the race barrier on MTV, dominated the charts and dazzled even more on stage.

His 1982 album "Thriller" — which included the blockbuster hits "Beat It," "Billie Jean" and "Thriller" — remains the biggest-selling album of all time, with more than 100 million copies worldwide.

The public first knew him in the late 1960s, when as a boy he was the precocious, spinning lead singer of the Jackson 5, the music group he formed with his four older brothers. Among their No. 1 hits were "I Want You Back," "ABC," and "I'll Be There."

He was perhaps the most exciting performer of his generation, known for his feverish, crotch-grabbing dance moves and his high-pitched voice punctuated with squeals and titters. His single sequined glove, tight, military-style jacket and aviator sunglasses were trademarks second only to his ever-changing, surgically altered appearance.

"For Michael to be taken away from us so suddenly at such a young age, I just don't have the words," said Quincy Jones, who produced "Thriller." "He was the consummate entertainer and his contributions and legacy will be felt upon the world forever. I've lost my little brother today, and part of my soul has gone with him."

Jackson ranked alongside Elvis Presley and the Beatles as the biggest pop sensations of all time. In fact, he united two of music's biggest names when he was briefly married to Presley's daughter, Lisa Marie.

But as years went by, Jackson became an increasingly freakish figure — a middle-aged man-child weirdly out of touch with grown-up life. His skin became lighter, his nose narrower, and he spoke in a breathy, girlish voice. He surrounded himself with children at his Neverland ranch, often wore a germ mask while traveling and kept a pet chimpanzee named Bubbles as one of his closest companions.

In 2005, he was cleared of charges he molested a 13-year-old cancer survivor at Neverland in 2003. He had been accused of plying the boy with alcohol and groping him. The case took a fearsome toll on his career and image, and he fell into serious financial trouble.

Jackson was preparing for what was to be his greatest comeback: He was scheduled for an unprecedented 50 shows at a London arena, with the first set for July 13. He was in rehearsals in Los Angeles for the concert, an extravaganza that was to capture the classic Jackson magic: showstopping dance moves, elaborate staging and throbbing dance beats.

Singer Dionne Warwick said: "Michael was a friend and undoubtedly one of the world's greatest entertainers that I fortunately had the pleasure of working with........we have lost an icon in our industry."

Hundreds of people gathered outside the hospital as word of his death spread. The emergency entrance at the UCLA Medical Center, which is near Jackson's rented home, was roped off with police tape.

"Ladies and gentlemen, Michael Jackson has just died," a woman boarding a Manhattan bus called out, shortly after the news was announced. Immediately many riders reached for their cell phones.

In New York's Times Square, a low groan went up in the crowd when a screen flashed that Jackson had died, and people began relaying the news to friends by cell phone.

"No joke. King of Pop is no more. Wow," Michael Harris, 36, of New York City, read from a text message a friend sent to his telephone. "It's like when Kennedy was assassinated. I will always remember being in Times Square when Michael Jackson died."

LETTER FROM A TEHRAN HOSPITAL!

By ADMIN

It is not surprising at all that the Evil BN/Umno regime of Najib Razak has been silent on the brutal repression of the Iranian People by the Evil Mullah Regime of Ayatollah Ali Khameini. It is also not surprising to see the lapdogs of the Evil BN/Umno regime the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) firing tear gas at Iranian students peacefully demonstrating in Kuala Lumpur. What do expect from an Evil regime such as BN/Umno that conferred the 'Tan Sriship' to deposed Romanian Communist dictator Nicolai Ceaucescu. What do you expect from a regime that embraces Zimbabwe's Pariah President Robert Mugabe as a friend. What do you expect from a regime that got Universiti Putra Malaysia to award a honorary doctorate to the fugitive former Peruvian President Alberto Fujimori. The list goes on and on. This is after all a regime that calls cold blooded murderers and terrorists such as Al Qaeda, the Taliban, Hamas and Hezbollah as fighters rather than terrorists.

It appears that the Malaysian regime will use the brutal Iranian method of suppressing any demonstration should the People (Rakyat) take to the streets to protest the trumped up charges of sodomy on Opposition Leader Y.B. Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim. We could very well see the seeds of Revolution in Malaysia should the BN/Umno regime underestimate the Rakyat's will.

The following email in Farsi we received today (Wednesday 24th june). It is written by a doctor from “Rasul Akram” hospital in Tehran who says that some people were killed not only by one bullet as they found two or three bullets in some bodies, close to one another, showing that shooters used barrage shooting against people and not only a single shot. A 68 year old man had 3 bullets in his body, two on his left shoulder and one in the left side of his stomach. The doctors of the “Rasul Akram”hospital say they had been faced with 38 people killed during last week’s protests. Apparently, police took the corpse of the dead bodies out from the hospital and carried them away by truck. Most of their families still do not know if their children have been killed. Besides, among the corpse there were some 15, 16 years old kids.

According to the email, the crew of the hospital protested in the street next to the hospital giving out the information about the violence to the people. The photos attached are from this demonstration which appears to have taken place earlier this week.

HINDRAF’s briefing at the UN Headquarters in Geneva on 23rd June 2009

By MALAYSIA HINDU VOICE

The HINDRAF Chairman, Mr Waytha Moorthy attended a meeting at the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights in Geneva to update the UN officials on the current position of the ethnic minority Indians in Malaysia.

At the meeting, which lasted over an hour, Mr Waytha Moorthy took the opportunity to stress on the continued plight of the marginalised ethnic Malaysian Indians and the exacerbated human rights issues, which remains unabated and unaddressed by the Malaysian government. Mr Waytha Moorthy was in particularly encouraged by the positive response from the UN officials who had requested further information on the human right violations suffered by the ethnic minority Indians in their socio-economic development in Malaysia.

The UN officials indicated that they would continue to focus and monitor several issues of concern raised by Mr Waytha Moorthy. They also assured Mr.Waytha Moorthy that the information and evidence submitted by HINDRAF is of value to them and this would enable them to take the necessary proactive actions available within the working parameters and procedures of UN.

On the same day, Mr Waytha Moorthy also attended a separate meeting with the designate officer at the World Organisation against Torture (OMCT) based in Geneva.
At this meeting, Mr Waytha Moorthy highlighted the position of the five released HINDRAF officials as well as commented on the continued incidents of deaths in police custody resulted from unlawful violence and torture against detainees by police officers.

The OMCT 2009 review of Malaysian’s human rights record was damming in its findings. The OMCT designate officer gave an indication that the OMCT would continue to observe the government’s poor human rights record on use of torture by state agents ie the Royal Police Force. OMCT also raised concern on the safety of Mr.Waytha Moorthy upon his inevitable return to Malaysia.

TIME NOW FOR IRANIANS TO HARTAL!

By ADMIN

Hartal (also hartaal) is a term in many Indian languages for strike action, used often during the Indian Independence Movement. It is mass protest often involving a total shutdown of workplaces, offices, shops, courts of law as a form of civil disobedience. In addition to being a general strike, it involves the voluntary closing of schools and places of business. It is a mode of appealing to the sympathies of a government to change an unpopular or unacceptable decision. In the case of Iran, it will be an effective mode to bring about regime change i.e. to kicked out the Mullah's hold on power and give power back to the People of Iran.

Hartal was originally a Gujarati expression signifying the closing down of shops and warehouses with the object of realising a demand. MK Gandhi, the Indian national leader from Gujarat organised a series of anti-British general strikes which he called hartals, thereby institutionalizing it. In Bangladesh a hartal is a constitutionally recognised political method for articulating any political demand.

In Sri Lanka, it is often used to refer specifically to the 1953 hartal of Ceylon. Hartals are still common in India, Bangladesh and in northern and eastern Sri Lanka.

In Malaysia, the word "hartal" was used to refer to various general strikes in the 1940s, 50s and 60s, such as the All-Malaya hartal of 1947 and the Penang hartal of 1967.

Already, there have been reports of shops being shutdown in protest in some parts of Iran. What's needed here is for the Independent Workers Union to mobilize the Nation to Hartal. All factories, oil refineries, transport, businesses, schools and colleges must shut down. The People must not show up for work or for classes and instead either continue with the demonstrations or stay home with their families and hold prayer vigils so that Allah SWT will free Iran from the Evil Mullahs. Spread this message to all in the Name of Freedom so that Neda's death is not in vain. Continue with the Hartal until the Islamic Regime is on it's knees and succumbs to the Will of the People.

THE ULTIMATE PARIAHS OF MALAYSIA

By POSITIVE FREAK

Indeed it is a fact where we cannot deny that the Indians are well treated like Pariah Dogs in the BN.

Mr. Semi has not realized this until his colleague has to make a report to buzz him up.
The Indians had toiled for this country to improve the economics of this country.

Just look in return where we stand today, like dogs without a home.

I saw this shit coming since I was a YOUNG MAN. I knew I had no chance of uplifting myself under these buggers, therefore why the hell should I be working here and paying taxes for the UMNOPUTRAS to bury me further.

I am now in a place well respected and with equal treatment for my skin color and my religion.

I told myself that I will never be a part of this disgusting government, and I never want to be.

To all my Indian brothers and sisters, DO NOT TRUST THE BN REGIME.

Do not depend on them, god has given us better brains than these suckers who survive on handouts.

We are chosen to be Indians by birth, we are an Intelligent race, don't live with self pity.

Let us give our helping hands to one another and raise our standard of living.

After all the lord helps those who help themselves.

We live in a land of plentiful, make full use of your potentials, work smart, save and spend diligently and definitely you will succeed.

Forget about all these political shit, they will never offer you a ringgit for your own funeral.

Vision how a baby falls and hurts herself or himself trying to get the first step to walk.

Finally when the first step is taken, there's a cry of joy, that's what I call THE JOY OF ACHIEVEMENT.

We are the same, we fall many times during the course of our goals in life, every fall is a lesson to remind us of the next positive action.

No one will carry us from our falls, including the umnoputras or Semi Value of the MIC. We should lift ourselves and move on with our lives.

Let us give respect to one another and stay united as Intelligent Indians with fear and faith to the religion we were born with.

We came to this world empty handed thou shall leave empty handed.

Do not grief, for the law of cause and effects will show its round.

Move on with your lives with dignity.

We pray for all the success and prosperity for the victims of the UMNOPUTRAS.

Tell me how many of you out there agree with the actions of the Pariah dog Ganesan who back stabbed another of our brother at the Perak Assembly.

We should shun these kind of dogs who bring shame to our community.

These are what we call the ULTIMATE PARIAHS in the community.

The sucker is a born loser who is willing to kill another Indian for the sake of Greed.

The so called MASTER PARIAH SEMI VALUE CONDONES THE ACTION WITHOUT A WORD.

These are the dogs who bring shame to the community.

GOD BLESS.

Religious superstitions, laws and customs are a disgrace of the 21st century

By Houzan Mahmoud

Du’a Khalil Aswad, a sweet 17 year old girl from Iraqi Kurdistan was publicly stoned to death in the town of Bashiqa before 1000 men. None of them did anything to stop the stoning; on the contrary they rejoiced at the killing and took footage of the carnage on their mobile phones.

Du’a wasn’t from a Muslim background, she was a Yazidi, but she feel in love with a Muslim boy. The price of this love was to be publicly stoned in broad daylight. She was stripped of her dignity and pride, her life was taken away simply for falling in love with someone outside of the Yazidi tribe. Her killers were never brought to justice and a year after her murder 40 million Iraqi Dinars were given to her family to keep their silence. The cost of love was a human life. The cost of silence, 40 million Dinar.

The killing of women continues and many more women have fallen victims to so-called honour killings, female genital mutilation, forced and arranged marriages. All of these things are on the rise. In these societies, religion takes priority over the lives and freedom of women.

Tribalism, traditions, Islamic Sharia laws and religious customs are still shaping the lives of millions of women and men in Islamic dominated countries.
Wherever Islam rules there is no place for human enjoyment of life. Religious figures control women’s body, sex and sexuality. They ban music, dance, art, public outings, and anything else that makes ordinary human beings happy.

In countries where the laws are based on Islamic Sharia, there is no place to be free and human life counts for very little. It is impossible to live without the constant fear of being killed for doing or feeling the simplest things.
Every woman, even those who have gained a degree of freedom to enter education or who have managed some sort of economic independence, live with the fear of 'wrongdoing'. They must live their lives according to their family’s and countries code of conduct. Why should women live like this in 21st century?

Just a few days ago our television and computer screens were filled with images of carnage when a 17-year-old Pakistani girl was flogged in public by Taliban militants in the Swat valley.

The footage showed a burka-clad girl being pinned to the ground by two men while a third whips her backside 34 times. The girl is seen screaming and begging for forgiveness as a crowd of largely silent men look on. She is accused of having had an “illegal” sexual relationship. Her brother is among those restraining her. When we see these crimes taking place day in and day out by religious militias, tribes, and governments who base themselves on the teachings of the Quran we come to expect no better.

In most Islamic dominated societies women have almost no rights. They have no right to life. They have no ownership over their own bodies:

· If you fall in love with the “wrong” person, with someone your family doesn't approve of, you are dead;
· If you get raped, then you more likely to be punished than the rapists;
· If you don’t follow religious, tribal, and traditional code of conduct you will be killed;
· If women loose their virginity – whatever the reason - they will be killed;
· Women can not wear what they want, or have make-up;
· Women can not mix with men because they 'arouse' them;
· Women are sexually objectified and are therefore considered filthy;
· Women have to be covered at all times;
· A women’s body can only be seen by her husband because she is his property;
· The wife must reserve herself exclusively for her husband;
· Women should make themselves available to their husbands whenever he is in need of her – she must submit herself to sexual intercourse at the husbands will. This is little more than rape.

Millions of women grow up hearing these words and teachings taken from Islam and its Sharia Law. The oppression of generations of women and men alike stems from these ideas. Girls from as young as 4 years old are forced to cover their hair, and are brainwashed by religious teachings. According to Islam, when a girl is 9 years old she is due to marry. Where the letter of this teaching is implemented there is nothing but child abuse and 'Islamic legal' rape of children.

The ways in which both Du’a and this 17 year old Pakistani girl were punished in public is a method conditioning society to such brutalities and socialising them into accepting such scenes of carnage on daily bases. In this case they make the entire society complacent and bullied by force to accept this as a way of life.

This is typical of Islamists and Islam in general. Because of the violence and terror they use against civilians, they engender ignorance and Dark Age thinking over society.

In spite of the terror they can never put an end to people expressing themselves and acting as they want to. Women are particularly defiant. They are treated harshly because no religion, state, law, The Quran or any other holy book can restrict or prevent human beings from exercising their natural impulse to have sex and physical pleasure. Islam is particularly patriarchal and has always tried to keep women subordinated and use them as subservient of men. Having four wives for the same man is another ugly face of Islam.

Stoning, flogging, beheading, rape, polygamy, veiling – all these have been used against women, yet women continue to fight in every possible way to escape the hell that Islamists want to create in places like, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia. They even want to bring Sharia to the heart of Europe.

These forms of religious violence against women are a shameful disgrace on 21st century humanity and it must stop. Every government is responsible for what is happening to women.

ASTEROID TO HIT EARTH IN 2019?!!!

Coming Judgment of God upon the people of the Earth is Inevitable: Revelation 8: 7-13 7.

And the first sounded his trumpet: and there was hail and fire, mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth; and the third part of the earth was burnt up, and the third part of the trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up. And the second angel sounded his trumpet: and as a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea, and the third part of the sea became blood; and the third part of the creatures which were in the sea which had life died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed. And the third angel sounded his trumpet: and there fell out of the heaven a great star, burning as a torch, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters. And the name of the star is called Wormwood; and the third part of the waters became wormwood, and many of the men died of the waters because they were made bitter.

And the fourth angel sounded his trumpet: and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so that the third part of them should be darkened, and that the day should not appear for the third part of it, and the night the same. And I saw, and I heard an eagle flying in mid-heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to them that dwell upon the earth, for the remaining voices of the trumpet of the three angels who are about to sound. Revelation 8: 7-13 7.

2 Cor. 4: 16,17 Wherefore we faint not; but if indeed our outward man is consumed, yet the inward is renewed day by day. For our momentary and light affliction works for us in surpassing measure an eternal weight of glory;

Do you know that the promise of “rapture” from the Great Tribulation is only promised to ONE GROUP of Christians? Rev. 3: 8-10. “BECAUSE YOU HAVE OBEYED MY COMMAND TO ENDURE (DID KEEP MY WORD WITH PATIENCE ENDURANCE), I WILL ALSO KEEP YOU FROM THE HOUR OF TRIAL, THAT HOUR (TIME) OF TESTING (TROUBLE AND TEMPTATION – *THE GREAT TRIBULATION!) THAT IS COMING UPON EVERYONE – TO TRY (TEST) ALL WHO ARE LIVING IN THE WHOLE WORLD” Rev. 3:10. Matthew 24:40 – 42 “Then two shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left behind. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left behind. Watch therefore: for you know not what hour your Lord will come.” This may sound “narrow” ideology but the Book of Revelation chapters one to three must be read in its contextual flow.

The Spirit is speaking to (the) seven churches. A quick look will tell us that almost 5 (70%) out of the 7 churches the Lord spoke to (with the EXCEPTION of Symrna and Philadelphia with remnants of “A FEW who walked worthy with the Lord” in Sardis , altogether probably making up about 30%) were REBUKED by the Lord and told to REPENT, saying, “I have this against you….” In other words, we can conclude that He wasn’t pleased with a majority of churches.

There will be an extreme famine some time in 2013 - from the "Eastern, Baltic region all the way through the Middle East region of the globe....” He described it as the "beginning of calamity..." Larry Randolph.

Sir Isaac Newton (1624- 1727), for last 30 years of his life he truly felt that God had wanted him to find out when Christ is going to return. He found out when it was. According to Sir Isaac Newton writings, who was a well known mathematician as well as a Hebrew scholar, he calculated and came up with 2016 is the year of Jesus will return, give or take. Neill and Cindy Russell, The Newton’s Riddle.

Leviticus 23 – these are the feasts of the Lord “My feasts” Feast = a divine appointment. All the feasts of the Lord are “dress rehearsals” God created the sun and the moon for signs or signals. As for festivals = seasons. Signs of His appearing - there will be four total eclipses of the moon (and the sun) back to back in 2014-2015. 2014 – total eclipse on Passover and 2015 and again on Passover and on the Feast of the Tabernacle. For example, in 492,93,94 Jews kicked out of Spain same thing happened. 2014-2015 will be significant years. 2015 will be the festival of the Feast of the Tabernacle where total eclipse will happen again. The unfolding signs from the heavens is God’s way of telling the watchmen the time is near. He is pointing to His calendar – the Biblical calendar. Mark Biltz.

A “tetra” is a set of four – 4 “blood moons” (eclipses) that are rare occurrences as a sign from the sky (heaven) in notable times in the history of the Jewish people. Note that between 1600 -1900 there are no 4 “blood moons” “back to back.” It will not happen again in this century. They happened in:-

1967 – 6-Day War
1948 – Israel became a nation
1492 – Jews kicked out from Spain
1290 – Jews kicked out from England

1 Thessalonians Chapter 5:

1 But of the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I write to you.
2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. (see verse 4!)
3 For when they shall say, 'Peace and safety'; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
4 But you, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
5 You are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.

UMNO Treats MIC Like A Pariah Dog In BN

By ADMIN

It has been a known fact for a long time that Umno treats MIC like a Pariah within BN. Thus it comes as no surprise that the Umno owned mouthpiece Utusan Malaysia has been publishing derogatory and at times provocative comments about the MIC, Indians and Hindus and yet gets away with a mere slap on the wrist and continue to do the same the next time around.

Umno also uses it's NGO's to do the same to MIC, Indians and Hindus in the country. Umno has also got it's whore-on-call Ibrahim Katak Ali to do the same. That's why pro-MIC Blog COFFEE WITH PUNITHAN fired away the following salvo:

The MIC Youth lodged a police report against Malaysian Pribumi Perkasa Organisation president Datuk Ibrahim Ali Thursday over his statement in Utusan Malaysia which it claimed defamed party president Datuk Seri S.Samy Vellu. The report was made by MIC Youth Social and Welfare Bureau chief S. Subramaaniam at the Sentul district police headquarters here.Subramaniam said the report was to enable the police to investigate Ibrahim for making an irresponsible statement and also Utusan Malaysia which he claimed constantly published statements with religious and racial slant which could jeopardise the peace in the country and fan racial sentiments, if left unchecked. He said the statement was untrue and the MIC Youth wanted Ibrahim to apologise to Samy Vellu.Utusan Melaysia today reported that Samy Vellu was trying to be a champion of the race by describing the historical facts published in the newspaper recently as seditious.

The Indians in Malaysia who still support MIC must leave the party if they want to save face and restore their dignity for being continually being humiliated by Big Brother Umno. Any Indian who feels MIC should remain in BN or continues to support BN must surely be a Pariah. One thing is for sure, the cracks are already opening up in BN as can be seen by the write up in COFFEE WITH PUNITHAN. That's why Umno needs a unity government with PAS to survive as it can't count on MIC and the other non Malay BN component parties to survive.

They Also Fire Tear Gas At Iranians In Malaysia!

By ADMIN

Neda, a young woman who was watching the protests in Tehran yesterday morning was shot dead by the regime’s baseeji militia (Watch Video Here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MbVfs8N9-I4). Yesterday, along with Neda, 30 others were killed and 300 wounded. There are reports that the security forces were arresting the wounded from their hospital beds.

Iranian Supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamanei is personally responsible for Neda’s death and the death of protesters. According to the WPI Press Office Neda's surname was Soltani, she was an employee of Rademan Airways.

Yesterday, the Iranian People’s solidarity was truly immense. They provided support, gave shelter and offered food to the protesters all day until late at night. Demonstrations took place, in many parts of Tehran, Shiraz, Rasht, Isfahan.

Demonstrations against the Iranian regime was carried out by Iranians in cities around the World. Unfortunately, the Evil BN/Umno regime of Najib Razak called in Malaysia's own Baseeji, the Royal Malaysian Police, to tear gas Iranian students who were peacefully demonstrating. This just goes to show that there's nothing separating the despotic regimes in power in Tehran and Kuala Lumpur. It appears that the BN/Umno regime approves the brutality inflicted by Mullahs in Iran on her citizens. It appears that Malaysians especially the Evil BN/Umno regime go into denial whenever Muslims kill Muslims. Where is Khairy Jamaluddin and his thugs from Umno Youth? Where is PEWARIS, PERKASA, and ABIM? Why is the Evil BN/Umno regime not condemning the carnage in Iran. If it was a non Muslim regime doing this to Muslims, you can bet your top Dollar KJ and his gang of Thugs will be on the Streets screaming for blood. What a bunch of hypocrites!

These spontaneous demonstrations against the Iranian regime has nothing to do with Western instigation but has got to do with a People who are sick and tired of a Totalitarian Regime run by Mullahs who claim Holiness in their persona but are really Devils in Disguise! Iranians no longer buy the story about the infallibility of these Mullahs or Ayatollahs who appear to be destined to the cesspool of Iranian history.

No man of God will make threats and speak of death and destruction of others. Their long beards, robes, prayer beads and turbans only hide the Evil that dwells within them. This is not about Mousavvi or the Elections. It's about a People who are fed up with the Islamic Republic and the Mullahs. It's about a People who want regime change and an end to the Rule of Mullahs in Iran. May the wishes of the long suffering People of Iran prevail.

An Open Letter By An Iranian To President Barack Hussein Obama

The following is a contribution by Wits0

A Letter Written by Ali Sina

Mr. Obama,

I am an Iranian and I want to comment on your stance about the situation in Iran. You said you don’t want to intervene in the affairs of my country. Speaking on behalf of all Iranians we don’t want you to intervene either. To put it more emphatically we will not allow you or anyone to intervene. Election is an internal matter.

What we expect is moral support. Instead you made it clear that you do not give a hoot about the people and their vote and will do business with anyone who wins the power even if that is through cheating and by force.

You said that both candidates are the same because they both represent the same regime. Sir, if both were the same why would millions of Iranians risk their lives to favor one over the other? You don’t have to be a seasoned politician to know this. All you need is commonsense and a bit of intelligence.

An unprecedented 85% of Iranians voted because they saw in Mousavi a glimmer of hope. Mousavi is only an excuse. He is a cut from the same cloth, a man coming out of the same nefarious establishment. However, the difference is that he has promised freedom of pen and of speech. That is all that Iranians need to topple the regime. They are looking for a crack in the dam of the Islamic Republic. Once that crack is made the dam can be demolished.

Furthermore, it will be a lot easier for America to negotiate with a moderate pragmatic president in Iran than a loony who thinks he converses with the Hidden Imam. We know you don’t care about human rights or even human life. Your stance as senator on letting the babies that survive abortion die made this clear. But shouldn’t you at least care about what benefits America?

When in 9/11, the Muslim terrorists killed nearly 3000 Americans, and while other Islamic nations, particularly your favorite Palestinians, cheered and danced in the streets, the Iranians were the only people in the Middle East that took candles in the streets and shed tears. I bet as American haters at that time you and your wife also were cheering and thinking that “American chickens have come home to roost.” That too is clear from all the apologies that you have made on behalf of America to all the terrorists of the world.

The Iranians do not want the foreign countries to intervene in their affairs. What they want is recognition that they matter and that the dictators that oppress them will not be recognized as a legitimate government. Instead you made it clear that you don’t give a damn about the people and that you are prepared to give legitimacy to any thug, as long as he manages to come to power, even fraudulently and by killing the people.

This does not surprise me. You yourself came to power fraudulently.

There are many similarities between you and Ahmadinejad. Both of you have no experience, but have gigantic egos. Both of you have messianic complex. Both of you have never done anything worthy to show forth and yet your campaign slogan was “Yes We Can.” Both of you are admired by Hugo Chavez, Fidel Castro, Daniel Ortega, the leaders of Hamas and every other thug on the planet. Both of you are favored by the gullible people and the less educated folk that unfortunately are in big supply. Both of you are pro Palestine, anti Israel and anti Zionism. But above all, both of you believe in the power of the Big Lie.

Adolf Hitler, in his Mein Kampf defined the Big Lie as so “colossal” that no one would believe that someone “could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously”.

Taking their lead from Hitler, Ahmadinejad and his gang of thugs thought that if they cheat, just enough to make him the winner by a little margin, it won’t be believed. But if they make his victory look like a landslide, no one will doubt it.

Your Big Lie is your claim to be eligible for the U.S. presidency.

Today, I am a proud Iranian. My people did not buy Ahmadinejad’s Big Lie. They are coming to the streets, facing bullets and batons, to stand for the truth. Whereas the Americans sheeple have swallowed your big lie, hook line and sinker and the majority of them are still enamored with you, and despite the fact that you are making them bankrupt they still love you. These people are going to wake up with a rude awakening.

Iran is in a great peril. Things can turn ugly overnight. A Civil war can erupt. With an emasculated America under your incompetent leadership, Russia can move in to bring “peace,” and never move out. It’s not just the Iranians who will lose; America will be also a big loser. The world will lose. This is the worse time to have a rooky posing as president of the USA.

The world is in a great peril and the Americans have given the rudder of their country, in the middle of the worst storm, to a pretender who acts and thinks like a juvenile and who has no more grasp of reality than a teenager. It is so pathetic to see people call you “Mr. President,” when in reality you are obly a sad joke.

No Mr. Obama, you don’t know what you are doing. You lied. The truth is that YOU CAN’T, and it shows.

Don't Allow Islam's Image To Be Tarnished

By ADMIN

Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khameini appears to have thrown his support behind beleaguered President Mahmood Ahmadinejad while at the same time making threats to the people of Iran. It's really sad to hear that a cleric like Ayatollah Khameini making such threats. It is this same individual who speaks of the destruction of other nations and her peoples. How can a man of God be so cold hearted and speak of death and destruction of others? I'm sure the Prophet Mohammad PBUH was nothing like that. Only men under the possession of Satan would speak of the death and destruction of others.

Muslims must take stock of whom they are supporting and following. Islam's image has been tarnished by the so-called Fatwas of evil men like Ayatollah Khameini and his predecessor Ayatollah Khomeini. Clerics like Moqtadar Sadr speak nothing but death and destruction of others so much so that people who subscribe to their false decrees are will to kill themselves and others all in the name of Allah SWT when it is clearly against the Will of Allah SWT and the teachings of his Holy Prophet PBUH.

It's about time Muslims stand up and voice their anger against the violence perpetrated by Muslims using Allah SWT's Holy Name. It is the duty of all Muslims to start this Jihad against anyone who uses the Name of Allah SWT to carry out Evil.

Just imagine, Police in Balasmer, Saudi Arabia are on the lookout for a man who was found lurking inside the compound of a girls’ school.
According to a local daily’s report, teachers and students freaked out when they saw a man wearing a ski mask (the mask of choice for all kinds of bad people doing bad things!) wandering the halls of the school leering at the girls.
The incident was so freaky that teachers locked students in classrooms and called the police. Unfortunately the weirdo escaped, leading school authorities to discuss the issue of raising the height of the compound walls and increasing security.
There has been an steady increase in such cases in the country. Even cities like Makkah are not safe says visitors to the city while doing Umrah or Hajj. Claims are that perverts would try to go after foreign women even during Umrah or Hajj. Malays especially hold Arabs with such high regard when such defilement is going on within the walls of Masjidil Haram.

The Islamic teachings are the guidance for the Muslim’s outlook on life. Muslims
should do their best to follow the Islamic rules in every aspect of life. It
requires a certain attitude and a particular behavior toward other people in
society.

A distinctive characteristic of human interaction is needed. Muslims are expected to
interact with everyone responsibly, sincerely and in a meaningful way. Sincerity is
needed to have a relationship with other people. It leads the Muslim to behave in an
open and straightforward manner, and to try to be conscious of the duty and
obligation to society.

Islam’s emphasis on fairness and good treatment to all human beings without
discrimination is very clear. It does not permit differentiation in the treatment of
other people on the basis of religion, colour, race, sex or nationality.

Muslims, who do not treat the minority equal, do not follow the Islamic principles
and are not consistent with the history of Islam.
When prophet Mohammed settled down in Medinah, he succeeded to get all inhabitants,
Muslims, Jews, Christians and pagan Arabs to enter into some form of a social
treaty.

The prophet of Islam said: “Whoever hurts a non Muslim, I shall be his complainant
and for whoever I am a complainant, I shall ask for his right on the day of
Resurrection.” (Hadith)
He also said: “ Whoever persecutes a non Muslim or demands work from him beyond his
capacity or takes something from him with evil intentions, I shall be a complainant
against him on the day of Resurrection.”(Hadith)

In Islam the meaning of worship is applying not only to the religious practices such
as praying and fasting but everything Muslims do in accordance of the Islamic
principles, to satisfy their proper needs and those of their society, is considered
worship.
Islam determines the various acts of kindness and arranges the responsibilities and
rights of different relationships. In social relationships, the responsibility of
the Muslim lies firstly to the family then relatives, neighbours, friends and all
other human beings.

Freedom for the Muslims as well as for the non-Muslims is guaranteed by Islamic law,
which gives all citizens the right to complete equality and considers their life and
property sacred. When Omar, the second Caliph, had learned that some Muslims had
taken a piece of land belonging to a Jew, and had built a mosque on it, he ordered
the demolition of the mosque and the land was given back the Jew.

Prophet Mohammed said: “ One who hurts a non-Muslim, he hurts me and one who hurts
me, hurts God.” (Hadith)
Qur’an says: “… and argue with them in ways that are best and most gracious.” (16: 125)

Again the prophet said: “ Whoever relieves a human being from a grief of this world,
God will relieve him from a grief on the day of judgment.” (Hadith)

So, Islamic teachings concerning social responsibilities are based on kindness and
consideration of others. Muslims and non-Muslims alike have the right to live in
peace and harmony hence the Islamic constitution ensures justice for all.

Freedom of religious practice, conscience, association, citizenship, law, are some
types of guarantees that should be given to the non-Muslims and to minorities living
under the protection of an Islamic state.
A great deal on the rights of the non-Muslims has been emphasized in Islam to be
enjoyed without any interference, so that any Muslim who violates these rights is
considered to be wrong.

The son of the Muslim governor of Egypt once slapped a native Christian when he had
raced ahead of him. When the complaint was brought before Omar, the second Caliph,
he ordered the son to be beaten by the Christian.
Omar said to the governor: “ How could you make slaves of these people who had been
born free?”

Qur’an says: “God does not forbid you, to act fairly towards those who have never
fought you over religion nor have driven you out of your homes, from dealing kindly
and justly with them.” (60:8)

Islamic teachings instruct the Muslims to respect and cooperate with the followers
of other religions and treat them equally provided they reciprocate the same
feeling.
In the Qur’an special attention has been given to the people of the Book that is
Christians and Jews, because their religions are based on the heavenly book, Torah
and Bible.
Qur’an says: “ Do not argue with the people of the Book, unless it is in the
politest manner.”(29:46)

When Omar entered Jerusalem victoriously, he visited the Holy Church. When the
Muslims prayer was due, the Christian Patriarch asked him to perform his prayer in
the church. But Omar refused, saying: “ I fear that once I have my prayer in this
church, the coming generations of Muslims would say that in this place Omar had
performed his prayer and therefore it has to be converted to a mosque. I want the
church to remain a church.”

Muslims respect Jesus and acknowledge him as one of God’s messengers. They never
refer to him simply as ‘Jesus’ but always add the phrase “peace be upon him” just as
they do for prophet Mohammed and prophet Moses.

Qur’an says about Jesus: “ O’ Mary! God gives you good news of a word from Him,
whose name shall be Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, honoured in this world and the Here
after, and one of those brought near to God.” (3:45)

And about Moses, the Qur’an says: “ Also mention in the Book Moses: For he was
specially chosen. And he was a messenger and a prophet. And We called him from the
right side of Mount (Sinai), and made him draw near to Us.” (19:51-52)

Moreover, a Muslim is allowed to marry a non-Muslim, Christian or Jew, and should
give her the liberty to practice her religion without interfering or questioning her
going to the church or to synagogue or drinking alcohol or practicing any other
customs.
In addition to that, non-Muslims living in the Islamic states have the right of
practicing their own customs such as eating pork and drinking alcohol, which are
forbidden to Muslims.

Qur’an says: “This day, are all things good an pure made lawful to you. The food of
the people of the Book is lawful unto you and yours is lawful unto them. Lawful unto

Lee Kuan Yew Not So Clever?

By ADMIN

Mahathir Mohamad had accused Singapore’s elder statesman Lee Kuan Yew of hypocrisy for claiming that Malaysia’s ethnic Chinese minority was being marginalised. Mahathir said of Lee, "You are not that clever. In a small group, perhaps you seem clever,”. Mahathir claimed that the Chinese in China don’t think much of him and that it is a fact that he is marginalized by Chinese in the world. Mahathir added that Lee was not that clever.

This spitefulness of Mahathir, a known racist, who hides from the fact that he is an ethnic Indian but masquerades to the world as a Malay explains why he refused to meet Lee when the latter visited Malaysia.
It is therefore interesting to read below what Mahathir's nephew Ahmad Mustapha see's in Lee Kuan Yew.

Singapore's Minister Mentor, Lee Kuan Yew, who was Singapore's founding father, has always been very direct in his comments. This was the man who outsmarted the communists in Singapore (with the innocent help of Malaya then and the willing help of the British) and who later outwitted the British and outpaced Malaysia in all spheres.

Singapore practices corrupt-free meritocracy and Malaysia affirmative action. The former attracted all the best brains and the latter chased out all the brains. The Singapore cabinet consists of dedicated and intelligent technocrats whereas Malaysia has one of the most unwieldy cabinets. Not only that, brain wise it was below par not even good for the kampong.

With that kind of composition, one that is very brainy, naturally Singapore, with no natural resources could outstrip Malaysia in every aspect of development. Malaysia, on the other hand, was too much preoccupied with its Malayness and the illusory 'Ketuanan Melayu' and was also more interested in useless mega iconic development rather than real social and economic development.

Whenever Kuan Yew utters anything that deemed to be a slight on Malaysia, voices were raised admonishing him. Malaysia would never dare to face reality. That Singapore had shown that it could survive was a slap on those who believed that Singapore would fold up once it left Malaysia. Therefore it was natural that these doomsayers would try to rationalise their utterances to be in their favour to combat on whatever Kuan Yew commented. Its political jealousy.

Singapore achieved its development status without any fanfare. But here in Malaysia, a development that was deceptive was proclaimed as having achieved development status. It was trumpeted as an achievement that befits first world status. This was self delusion. Malaysians are led to believe into a make believe world, a dream world. The leaders who themselves tend to believe in their own fabricated world did not realise the people were not taken in by this kind of illusion.

Lee Kuan Yew believed in calling a spade a spade. I was there in Singapore when the People's Action Party won the elections in 1959. He was forthright in his briefing to party members as to what was expected of them and what Singapore would face in the future. Ideologically, I did not agree with him. We in the University of Malaya Socialist Club had a different interpretation of socialist reconstruction. But he was a pragmatist and wanted to bring development and welfare to the Singaporeans. Well! He succeeded.

Malaysia was so much embroiled in racial politics and due to the fear of losing political power, all actions taken by the main party in power was never targeted towards bringing wealth to all. Wealth was distributed to the chosen few only. They were the cronies and the backers of the party leadership to perpetuate their own selfish ends.

Seeing the efficiency and the progress achieved by Singapore caused the Malaysian leadership to suffer from an inferiority complex. That Malaysia should suffer from this complex was of its own making.

In a recent interview, Kuan Yew said that Malaysia could have done better if only it treated its minority Chinese and Indian population fairly. Instead they were completely marginalised and many of the best brains left the country in drove. He added that Singapore was a standing indictment to what Malaysia could have done differently. He just hit the nail right there on the head.

Malaysia recently celebrated its 50th year of independence with a bagful of uncertainties. The racial divide has become more acute. The number of Malay graduates unemployed is on the increase. And this aspect can be very explosive. But sad to see that no positive actions have been taken to address these social ills.

Various excuses were given by Malaysian leaders why Singapore had far outstripped Malaysia in all aspects of social and economic advancement. Singapore was small, they rationalised and therefore easy to manage. Singapore was not a state but merely an island.

There was one other aspect that Malaysia practises and that is to politicise all aspects of life. All government organs and machinery were 'UMNO-ised'. This was to ensure that the party will remain in power. Thus there was this misconception by the instruments of government as to what national interest is and what UMNO vested interest is.

UMNO vested interest only benefited a few and not the whole nation. But due to the UMNO-isation of the various instruments of government, the country under the present administration had equated UMNO vested interest as being that of national interest. Thus development became an avenue of making money and not for the benefit of the people. The fight against corruption took a back seat. Transparency was put on hold. And the instruments of government took it to be of national interest to cater to the vested interest of UMNO. Enforcement of various enactments and laws was selective. Thus a 'palace' in Kelang, APs cronies and close-one-eye umno MPs could exist without proper procedure. Corruption infested all govt departments, the worse is the police and lately even in the judiciary.

Singapore did not politicise its instruments of government. If ever politicisation took place, it is guided by national interest. To be efficient and to be the best in the region was of paramount importance. Thus all the elements like corruption, lackadaisical attitude towards work and other black elements, which would retard such an aim, were eliminated. Singapore naturally had placed the right priority in it's pursuit to achieve what is best for its people. This is the major difference between these two independent countries.

Malaysia in its various attempts to cover up its failures embarked on several diversions. It wanted its citizens to be proud that the country had the tallest twin-tower in the world, although the structure was designed and built by foreigners. Its now a white-elephant wasting away. It achieved in sending a man into space at an exorbitant price. For what purpose? These are what the Malays of old would say "menang sorak" (hollow victories).

It should be realised that administering a country can be likened to managing a corporate entity. If the management is efficient and dedicated and know what they are doing, the company will prosper. The reverse will be if the management is poor and bad. The company will go bust.

There are five countries around this region. There is Malaysia , and then Indonesia . To the east there is the Philippines and then there is that small enclave called the Sultanate of Brunei . All these four countries have abundance of natural resources but none can lay claim to have used all these resources to benefit the people. Poverty was rampant and independence had not brought in any significant benefits to the people.

But tiny Singapore without any resources at all managed to bring development to its citizens. It had one of the best public MRT transport systems and airlines in the world and it is a very clean city state. Their universities, health care, ports are among the best in the world.

It is impossible to compare what Singapore has achieved to what all these four countries had so far achieved. It was actually poor management and corruption, and nothing more. Everything is done for the vested interest of the few.

Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines and the Sultanate of Brunei need good management teams. They would not be able to do this on their own steam. I would advise that they call on Kuan Yew to show them what good governance is. Why look East to Japan when it is just next door across the causeway.
