Unconfirmed reports say cars belonging to Christians that displayed crosses and rosaries were smashed in Bangsar, Shah Alam and Petaling Jaya. This however is denied by the Inspector General of Police Musa Hassan. Musa had also denied that a Church in Kampung Subang had been attack but the Selabgor State Chief Police Officer has confirmed the attack.
The Malaysian Indian Muslim Congress (KIMMA) added more fire by asking PM Najib Razak to be bold for Muslims' sake. In making this call, It's president Mohd Fazil William, a Christian convert to Islam, said the premier must act as Muslims feel threatened. KIMMA is linked to Malaysia's Indian Muslim former PM Mahathir Mohamad.
Despite the onslaught and climate of fear created by these thugs whom political observers say are instigated by the ruling BN/Umno regime. Some are also pointing their fingers at former PM Mahathir Mohamed and former Selangor Chief Minister Khir Toyo as prime instigators of these insane and barbaric attacks on Christians. These incidents also come after Journalists from the Muslim magazine Al Islam attended Mass in Church only to take the Holy Communion and spit it out. So far no action has been taken against these two individuals.
In the light of such attacks and intimidation's, the Parish Priest of Assumption Church of Petaling Jaya Father Philip Muthu which escaped a Molotov cocktail attack had this to say:
" Fellow Christians, be steadfast and proud of Jesus Christ whom you represent! Never hide Him when confronted by Evil men. Removing your crosses and rosaries or crucifixes from your vehicles is a sign of weakness. God is on our side! Amen."
One thing these cowardly attacks has done is to give a wake up call to Christians to get up from their comfort zones and do their bit for regime change in Malaysia. Christians as a whole are known to vote the ruling BN/Umno regime especially in Christian majority East Malaysia. Today's events has changed all that. In fact, Christians in Malaysia, whether Catholic, Protestant, Evangelical or Orthodox are standing united in Christ to face this dark period of Christian history in Malaysia. Whatever the case, the death knell of the BN/Umno regime has been sounded. Najib Razak's 1 Malaysia is now one big JOKE!
