What a brilliant idea. Someone is a genius.
How's this for excellent speed control?
I don't know about you, but this would slow me down! People slow down and try to "straddle" the hole .........
This is actually a speed control device that is in use. It is much cheaper than speed cameras.
Pretty clever - especially when moved around each day. Isn't art wonderful?

There could be a bad side to it I suppose. The potential danger is if someone was speeding and suddenly applies an emergency brake upon seeing this "mirage" image, and that could cause a massive pile up. Worse still, if the driver were to swerve, on reflex, to the left or right, it may just knock over a motor cyclist coming from the side, or hit a car that could be travelling along the side.
Speeding, swerving, knocking down somebody? just goes to show that you are a bloody lousy driver and being cautious and courteous while on the road NEVER did sink into your bloody head, did it? The problem lies with the drivers themselves. No proper road ethics nor discipline. Get them in a car or on a bike and the devil rears it's ugly and fatal head.
