Interlok or In telor

By Anak Mami

The first questionable whether Interlok is English or Malay terminology? Why did Pena never feel shy about Malay language as ``Bahasa Pinjaman?'' or PENA never work hard o create any new malay words? Malas tapi mahu samseng.

To UMNO and the gang what is Interlok means?
Interlock covers the period from the early 20th century to Malaya's independence from British rule. The main theme in this novel is the integration of the various majority races of Malaya and how the Malays, Chinese and Indians, represented by three families, have contributed towards this sovereign nation.

Pena should just shut up and understand the sensitivities of the others. Indians may be the minority but it doesn't mean that they have no feelings. What if the same were to be written of the Malays. Please be more civilised before PENA open your mouth

Zakir's stand to gather Malay NGOs to defend a 'factual' novel that purportedly promotes integration among the various ethnic groups ...

Well, it's laughable at best. If he's trully genuine in his wishes, he should be engaging the groups, and find out why and what is it that the Indian groups find objectionable. He's an intellectual, after all. Can't he explain? What fact can he establish by gathering people and protesting? Will the objectionable view points become less offensive if a large number of Malay NGOs gathered to support it?

Since BM became our first language in schools; unfortunately, thanks largely to UMNO's misguided policies and confused priorities, it remains a second-class language outside, in the private sector.

The Malays themselves do not respect their language.
Question: do the Malay elite read Bahasa Malaysia? They don't even speak it these days, even in their houses! So, who is to be blamed for the pitiful state of Malay literature?

As our best wishes to Rakyat in year 2011, please say laoudly ``Go to Hell PENA , racist Pena'' as with most umno institutions with "national" in front. Nary a whimper over Kutuksan over the decades past!

In regards to this same topic, PERKASA asked what is wrong with the book when it is written by a sasterawan. In that case why didn't the book "SHIT; written by another sasterwan not chosen to be in place of interlock.
Secondly, I dare say non off the muslim or the malays, know what is the real caste system in Hinduism. Can an idiot that doesn't know the truth or the fact can talk/write about it?
It is very typical of Islam, muslim and Malays:only they have feeling, only they are right, only they do the correct thing. What do you call a person or religion whom didn't have an iota of respect or other human being?A peaceful? A fair one.The one and only truth????LOL.

If I may add: PERKASA should fight and asked that MOE should make it compulsary for all student to study and pass the book written by well known international writer(bukan jagoan kampung macam di Malaysia): Salman Rushdie and the title of the book is The Satanic Verses. In add,PERKASA ,should also fight that the book called "Undrstanding Muhammad" by one known as Ali Sina MUST also introduced in Malaysian school.AS PERKASA president asked,'"Apa yang sensitif? Kalau buku ditulis oleh sasterawan negara, apa yang nak bising? Ini negera asalnya Tanah Melayu," kata presidennya Datuk Ibrahim Ali."
I would like to throw same question to PERKASA: "Apa yang sensitif? Kalau buku ditulis oleh karyawan bertaraf dunia, apa yang nak bising? Ini buku tentang bekas agamanya?
IS there any PERKASA members or PENA want to suggest to MOE supaya dua buku diperkenaklan di sekolah-sekolah???
