Seperti Mascot DiGi yang berwarna kuning, SPR juga mengikuti Jejak BN/Umno "I will follow you"

The Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) have really gone far this time. The Rakyat (People) are now certain that the PDRM are tools of BN/Umno and also a threat to Democracy. Just look at the developments of the last 48 hours:
1. The office that houses the Bersih 2.0 secretariat has been raided by police. The Police did not have a search warrant and had made a forced entry.
2. PAS' Mohd Firdaus Jaafar gave his statement this morning, while DAP's Teresa Kok has been called to give hers this afternoon.
3. "If the Bersih t-shirt is related to an illegal activity, then whatever they are wearing is illegal,' says the home minister (Hishammuddin Hussein).
4. DAP's assemblypersons Leong Mei Ming and Chang Lih Kang among 14 arrested for distributing national flags wearing Bersih T-shirts.
5. Selangor PKR information chief Shuhaimi Shafiei anticipates an emergency declaration on July 9 and ISA arrests.
6. PSM claims that some of the 14 women held in Kepala Batas have been mistreated while under remand.
7. Defying the police crackdown on Bersih 2.0 supporters, the Kuala Lumpur and Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall (KLSCAH) has hung up a yellow banner in solidarity with the coalition, which will hold a rally on July 9 in Kuala Lumpur.
8. A group of Malaysians studying in Australia has vowed to proceed with plans to hold protests in support of the Bersih 2.0 rally despite warnings by the Malaysian authorities.
9. A group of Umno Youth members gathered in front of their arch nemesis PKR's headquarters in Petaling Jaya late last night in a noisy demonstration, threatening to burn down the building. The Police stood aside and allowed the illegal assembly to go on for 15 minutes.
10. An election reforms advocacy group has denied claims by the police and Utusan Malaysia that its South Korean intern Song Min Young was a threat to national security.
11. Catholic Bishop Dr Paul Tan Chee Ing today denounced the latest instance of what he called "Christian bashing" following reports in Utusan Malaysia alleging funding for the Bersih 2.0 march by foreign Christian organisations.
12. National laureate A Samad Said decried police investigations into his poem recital during a Bersih 2.0 event and said the authorities are now treating poetry as a weapon.
Malaysia is quickly deteriorating into chaos no thanks to the actions of the PDRM which is very much under the instructions of the Evil BN/Umno Regime. We, The Rakyat (People), appeal the His Majesty Sultan Mizan and the Malaysian Armed Forces to protect the democratic rights of all Malaysians irrespective of race or religion. DAULAT TUANKU!

The students of Penang Free School put up a credible performance for the "Beauty and the Beast " Play. The Play was held over 3 nights. no doubt the Play was a resounding success.
However, the hard work put in by the students which included all races was marred by the incident where beef was served to unsuspecting Hindu and Buddhist students who were involved in the Play. Any right thinking Malaysian would know that beef is forbidden to be eaten by Hindus and Buddhists just like pork is haram to Muslims.
What's ironic is that the beef burger that was served with fried rice for the students was catered for by the Penang Free School Principal, Ramli Din himself. (I wonder if Ramli got a cut in this). This shows a lack of decency and sensitivity on the part of Ramli Din. Just imagine what the reaction would have been if pork was served to unsuspecting Muslim students.
No wonder many questioned how did Ramli Din, an Umno man could get to be Principal of a premier school like PFS. Ramli Din and the PFS School Board owe the Hindu and Buddhist students an apology.

The Scribe had always been suspicious about Anas Zubedy. Anas Zubedy (picture above) was born in Penang, speaks English, Malay, Hokkien & some Tamil. He is the Managing Director and founder of Zubedy (M) Sdn Bhd. He graduated from University Malaya and was involved in marketing for a multinational before setting up Zubedy in 1994. Incorporated on 24th May 1994, Zubedy began as a marketing and advertising hotshop and evolved into a human development and skills training company. Zubedy offers soft-skills learning facilitators for multinationals, financial institutions, corporate organisations, small and medium industries and IT firms.
This was just too good to be true with "I embrace all peoples, all races, all religions" crap. Anas (or some would fondly refer to him as Anus) simply did an overkill in trying to portray himself as a Malay moderate when in essence he is no different from demons who rule Umno. Thus The Scribe finds it very interesting to extract the following article courtesy of ZORRO UNMASKED:
Commander (Rtd) S. Thayaparan, Royal Malaysian Navy, is a regular kopi-tiam kaki of mine. He graduated from the Britannia Royal Naval College, Dartmouth in 1965. His tour of duty saw him as Commanding Officer of KD Tombak, KD Gempita, KD Ganyang and Executive Officer on Training Frigate KD Hang Tuah.
Through self-study he qualified to read law at Lincoln’s Inn and was the first Malaysian Naval Officer to be called to the Malaysian Bar in 1985.
Commander Thaya was the prosecutor for the Navy in the case of the collision between K.D. RAJA JARUM and M.V. SHOUMARU, and acted as Defense Counsel in the case of the sinking off the petrol vessel K.D. SRI PERAK in the South China Sea, both making front-page news.
Since retiring from the Navy, his expertise were sought in Timor Leste supervising both Parliament and Presidential elections and as a UN Volunteer Sri Lanka. He is currently with Yayasan Salam, an NGO.
His articles often appear in the Mainstream Media. He sent me this article as a blog-post. It is a rebuttal to ANAS ZUBEDY: Read Here http://zorro-zorro-unmasked.blogspot.com/2011/06/outing-of-anas-zubedy.html

PKR claimed that the court proceeding of the “Datuk T” trio yesterday was proof that there is high-level conspiracy to destroy Anwar Ibrahim’s political career.
Yesterday, the trio, former Malacca chief minister Rahim Thamby Chik, former Perkasa treasurer Shuib Lazim and businessman Shazryl Eskay Abdullah pleaded guilty at the Kuala Lumpur magistrate court to screening a sex video to the public.
The trio screened a video allegedly showing the opposition leader engaged in illicit sex with a prostitute to several journalists at Carcosa Seri Negara in March.
In the proceeding yesterday, one of their defense attorney, Muhamad Shafee Abdullah told the court that forensic analysts from the US confirmed the man in the video was likely to be Anwar.
In a statement today, PKR vice president N Surendran said the alleged identity of the person in the video and it authenticity was completely irrelevant to the case yesterday.
“And by not being a party to the proceedings, Anwar had no opportunity to defend himself against the allegation,” said Surendran.
The PKR leader then lashed out at the prosecution team for not reprimanding the trio’s defense lawyer when the latter was smearing Anwar.
Surendran added that it was also worrying that the courts have allowed itself to be used by certain quarters for unlawful and unjust purposes.
“What happened yesterday was disgraceful and sickening, Worse, the trio merely received a slap on the wrist for their crime,” he said.
While Shazryl and Shuib was fined for RM3,000 and RM 1,500 under Section 292 of the Penal Code respectively for their offence, Rahim was slapped with a RM1,000 fine for abetting in the crime under Section 109 of the Penal Code.
Section 292 of the Penal Code carries a maximum jail term of not more than three years and a fine.
Meanwhile, Bar Council president Lim Chee Wee described that the court’s decision in allowing the video to be shown as “shocking” and “extraordinary.”
He stressed that there was no reason to do since those accused of screening the video had readily admitted to the crime.
“There is no need to because they have already pleaded guilty; I am surprised why the sex video was shown in court.
“This is an extraordinary procedure, I am shocked as to why it happened... if a person has already pleaded guilty there is no need to (reveal the evidence),” Lim told The Malaysian Insider.
The lawyer said the court’s action was inconsistent with standard procedures in such cases, where evidence is only revealed during the course of a full trial and when the accused maintains his or her innocence.

The Malaysian Indian Muslim Congress (Kimma) a.k.a Mamak Association has asked the Sultan of Perak, Sultan Azlan Shah, to revoke the datukship of former Bar Council president Datuk Ambiga Sreenevasan for planning an illegal gathering on July 9.
Kimma Youth chief Amir Hamzah Abdul Rajak said the action should be taken against Ambiga for defying the authorities by planning to go ahead with the rally.
Kimma' call for the withdrawal of the state award was made in a memorandum submitted to Comptroller of the Royal Household Datuk Shamsul Baharin Hasan at Istana Iskandariah here today.
Speaking to reporters after handing over the memorandum, Amir Hamzah claimed that that Ambiga tried to instigate the people, especially youths to take part in an illegal assembly, which could cause chaos and threaten public order.
Yesterday, Perkasa, a Malay right wing group also called for Ambiga's datukship to be stripped.
Admin Note:
The Indian Muslims who are a part of KIMMA (some refer to it as PukiMMA) are nothing but a disgrace and an insult to not only Indians but also to Malays and Islam itself. These 'weeds' that leans which ever way the wind blows, will call themselves Malays at moment then call themselves Indians whenever it suits their needs. The Scribe just don't understand why Malays still accept these insincere Fake Malays as Malays and even appoint them as their leaders. Can't they see it in the faces of these Fake Malays that they are actually INDIANS in disguise? The Umno Malays lament about the Pendatangs (read Malaysian born Chinese, Indians etc.) as grabbing their land and opportunities but yet allow these Fake Malays, some of whom convert to Islam to enjoy Bumiputera privileges, to dilute the identity of the Malays.
The Scribe is afraid that the Malay legendary warrior Hang Tuah (some now believe that he was actually Chinese) was known to have said "Tak kan Melayu akan hilang di dunia ini?" Well brother Hang Tuah, The Scribe says that with the Mamakization of the Malay race, the Malays will eventually disappear from the face of the Earth. Now we have Bangladeshis and Pakistanis marrying Malay girls and becoming the Neo-Bumiputeras.
The Scribe hopes that the 'Genuine' Indian Muslims will make their voices heard and be proud of their Indian heritage and rebuke the Fake Malays in Umno and Kimma. The Scribe invites our Indian Muslim Brothers and Sisters to join BERSIH 2.0 on July 9, 2011.

A poll on the July 9 Bersih rally by The Star's online edition has disappeared after registering more than one million responses.
MISSING ... The results of the poll as at 9.30 am today
Earlier, Harakahdaily reported that the poll result showed that 99% of respondents were in support of the rally called by electoral reform group Bersih in Kuala Lumpur next month.
However, at press time (5.25pm), not only the question has been reverted to an earlier poll about Ron95 petrol purchase by foreign-registered cars, its result was also missing from its archives. Earlier, the result page for the poll showed a page with the message "Record not found".
The question on the poll reads: "What is your view on the proposed Bersih 2.0 rally on July 9?", to which 99 percent of the respondents chose the answer "It should be allowed to go on", as opposed to the remaining option, "It should be cancelled".
The number of respondents is possibly the highest recorded by any online poll conducted by the online edition of The Star, which boasts of the highest number of visitors among other mainstream dailies with internet presence.
The poll comes as the Election Commission made an appeal to Bersih to cancel its rally, saying it would be prepared to hear its demands, an offer snubbed by Bersih chairperson Ambiga Srenevasan who said the time for negotiation had long been over.
Earlier, some eighty organisations joined hands over the weekend to renew their support for the rally and urged the police to protect their right to peaceful assembly from threats made by a number of right-wing politicians.
Admin Note:
The Scribe is waiting to hear what Wong Chun Wai, Baradan Kuppusamy, Joceline Tan and the rest of the sorry excuse for a journalist of The Star have to say about this Houdini act from The Star. What is certain here is that the Rakyat (People) are fed up with the BN/Umno Regime and what The Scribe predicts here http://margeemar.blogspot.com/2011/06/bersih-20-maybe-catalyst-for-arab-style.html#links may just come true. It shows a broad spectrum of the Rakyat irrespective of ethnicity background strongly believe that our electoral systems and practices are somewhat deficient and archaic and above all, are liable to manipulation.
The Scribe believes this consensus results give a clear response that almost the entire populace believe electoral reforms should be carried out, and since the impartiality of the Malaysian Election Commission which is seen by the Rakyat as a tool of the BN/Umno Regime, an event such as BERSIH 2.0 is needed. Now we know why parties and individuals sympathetic to the BN/Umno Regime either want BERSIH 2.0 cancelled or held in a stadium.

As it gets closer to the Bersih 2.0 Rally on July 9, 2011, the BN/Umno Regime of PM Najib Razak appear to be on panic mode. Apart from the 'sorties' of police reports by so-called 'concerned citizens' and 'NGO's', we are also heraing threats and intimidation being made by pro-Umno extremist groups such as PERKASA and PERKIDA. We have also seen the fake Malay wannabe Indian Muslims from KIMMA (Indian Muslim Congress of Malaysia) lending their voice to the chorus of 'opposition' against Bersih 2.0.
Threats have also being made by the braggart former Selangor Mamak CPO (another Indian Muslim masquerading as Malay) the current Deputy Inspector General of Police, Khalid Abu Bakar to use force on this peaceful gathering of Malaysians who are only exercising their democratic right.
What's disturbing is that we find so-called 'concerned citizens ' like the 1 Malaysia Bullshitter Bulbir Singh telling the Bersih 2.0 organizers to have the rally in a stadium. Why are you and your heroes from BN/Umno afraid of Bhaiya? Are you people afraid of the world media like Al Jazeera and the Rakyat seeing how the BN/Umno Police brutalizing peaceful citizens? Why the silence about PERKASA and Umno Youth going to the streets Bulbir? Best you spend time with your grandchildren Bhaiya, rather than to earn curses from Malaysian at the twilight of your life.
The Scribe gets the feeling that a police crackdown on Bersih 2.0 on July 9 may well turn into a popular uprising lile what is happening in the Middle East where the Opposition had very little to do with it. Who knows, we may have a regime change even without going into GE13!
“Datuk Hisham has unsheathed his keris, waved his keris, kissed his keris. We want to ask Datuk Hisham when is he going to use it?”
“Force must be used against those who refused to abide by the social contract.”
- Hashim Suboh (Deputy Chief of UMNO Kangar)
"Malay Muslim Warrior" and Malaysian Home Minister Hishamuddin Hussein (PM Najib Razak's cousin) 'toasting' with the Keris and Anchor Beer - "Keris My Ass!"
By Admin
In 2005, Education Minister and UMNO Youth Chief Hishammuddin Hussein brandished a kris (Malay dagger) at the UMNO General Assembly. The kris, named Panca Warisan, made another appearance at the 2006 General Assembly. On both occasions, it had been used in the context of defending certain special privileges accorded to the Malays under the Constitution of Malaysia. These privileges, sometimes referred to as the Malay Agenda, formed half of the Malaysian social contract, which granted citizenship to non-Malay Malaysians in return for special rights for the Malays. (Such special rights feature heavily in the ideal of ketuanan Melayu or Malay supremacy, which is a feature of UMNO's ideology.)
It was after the second instance of Hishammuddin's actions that Hashim made headlines, when Hashim, speaking as a UMNO delegate from the state of Perlis, asked: "Datuk Hisham has unsheathed his keris, waved his keris, kissed his keris. We want to ask Datuk Hisham when is he going to use it?" He continued that "force must be used against those who refused to abide by the social contract", insisting that Hishammuddin be tougher in dealing with the Chinese national-type schools, which though publicly-funded, are generally independent of the public national school system. Hashim's remark provoked a response from the opposition Democratic Action Party, which accused him of creating "concern and disquiet among non-Malays in the country. The statements amount to sedition as they have a seditious tendency".
The original Malay remark was: "Dalam Perhimpunan Agung Umno ini, Datuk Hishammuddin dua kali berturut-turut angkat keris. Jadi, kita nak tanya bila Datuk Hishammuddin nak bertikam pulak?" Translated literally, this would read: "At this UMNO General Assembly, Datuk Hishammuddin has twice raised the keris, So, we want to ask when Datuk Hishammuddin will stab instead?" Some have suggested that the meaning of this is ambiguous, as the tone used could be sarcastic.
Former Universiti Sains Malaysia lecturer Hashim Suboh who left Umno to join PKR, has now returned to Umno as a "4th Floor Boy". He is now the Special Assistant to PM Najib Razak and has his office at the infamous 4th Floor. It is very clear with such a racist in his inner circle, PM Najib is nothing but a corrupt, lying racist despite of his 1 Malaysia Bullshit! It is also simply sickeng how the country's Malay Rulers can bestow the 'Datukship' on this racist and extremist Hashim Suboh.

Umno Youth will organise a gathering on July 9 to “ strengthen the democratic system” and rival electoral reform group Bersih 2.0’s rally on the same day.
Its chief Khairy Jamaluddin said it won’t join the Bersih rally, which is also facing a counter-protest by Malay rights group Perkasa.
“Umno Youth will organise a gathering on July 9 to strengthen the democratic system. Won’t join Bersih because they have opposition agenda,” the Rembau MP wrote in his Twitter microblogging account.
He had earlier chaired an Umno Youth council meeting today.
Police have said it won’t issue permits for any rally in the city on that day, when a rock concert featuring Sweet Charity and Blues Gang will be held later that night.
Meanwhile, Home Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein said Friday that Umno Youth will have to face the consequences of their action if they proceed with their intention to hold an illegal rally on July 9.
Hishammuddin, who is also former Umno Youth chief, said nobody was above the law and that they (Umno Youth) would have to deal with the police just like others.
What The Scribe would like to know here is whether Umno Youth is supporting BERSIH 2.0 or is it marching in protest against BERSIH 2.0. The Scribe smells a rat here. This is a little charade made by desperate BN/Umno to confuse the People. We, the Rakyat (People) must not fall for this charade acted out by Hishamuddin and Khairy because birds of a feather flock together.

The BN/Umno Regime of Najib Razak is using Malay racial supremacist group PERKASA to threathen a counter demonstration which it (The BN/Umno Regime) hopes will force BERSIH to call off it's mammoth July 9 Rally in Kuala Lumpur.
BN/Umno is afraid of BERSIH as Umno vehemently opposes the Rallylection watchdog Bersih 2.0 to be held here on July 9 because it claims undermine the economy and national security, party information chief Datuk Ahmad Maslan said Tuesday.
Earlier, Ahmad held a meeting with committee members of the Federal Territory Islamic Missionary and Welfare Organisation (Pekida) led by its chairman Datuk Roslan Dahaman on the proposed Bersih 2.0 protest. Pekida is another exteremist group linked to Umno.
Ahmad said he would suggest that non-governmental organisations (NGOs) lodge police reports, if they had not done so, to pressure Bersih 2.0 to give up its plan to stage the protest. This is yet clear evidence
that Umno is behind PERKASA's counter demonstration plan. By having a PERKASA led counter demonstration, BERSIH may be forced to cancel the Rally out of public interest and security.
However, The Scribe says BERSIH must proceed with the July 9 Rally as this will be a defining moment in Malaysian history and also BN/Umno's Waterloo.

After years of spinning for the BN/Umno Regime, the MCA owned The Star's former group chief editor Datuk V.K. Chin (pic above) passed away at 5.30am Sunday morning. Chin, who later became Editorial Adviser of The Star was 75. Chin was noted for his one sided comments that always painted the Opposition as Evil but was silent or in this case deaf and blind to the Evil perpetrated by the Evil BN/Umno Regime.
Strangely, Chin who used to write in The Star's 'Comment' Column where he used to dish out his spins has now found Umno's running dog Chandra Muzaffar as his replacement for the Comment Column. No need to figure out what garbage Chandra will be dishing out.
Whatever, may God have mercy on the soul of VK Chin.

These are the INDISPUTABLE facts as we know them. So let's stick to them, i.e. the FACTS.
1. Sometime after 2000 when Najib Tun Razak (now Prime Minister) was re-appointed Defence Minister, the Malaysian Government/Ministry of Defence awarded a contract for the purchase of 2 Scorpene Class Submarines to French DCNS naval shipbuilders, through Armaris in partnership with Navantia of Spain, both state owned companies.
2. The cost of the contract which has now been fulfilled, is estimated at RM6.7 billion (exchange rate 1 Euro=RM5) as follows:
* Submarines-Euro 969,000,000
=RM4,845,000,000
* Missiles etc-Euro 257,000,000
=RM1,270.000,000
* Co-ordination & Support Service Fees Euro 114,000,000 = RM 570,000,000
3. The co-ordination and support service fees were paid to Perimekar S/B, a Malaysian company originally owned and controlled by Razak Baginda and his wife, magistrate Mazalinda through Ombak Laut S/B which was subsequently divested to Boustead Holdings Bhd Plc (BHB). Baginda was head of a Government sponsored think-tank and a close advisor and friend of Najib. The Government, MINDEF, Navy and a Public Accounts Committee inquiry have satisfied themselves that all proper Government procurement rules, regulations and procedures were adhered to in the award of the contract to Baginda and that it was NOT a Commission.
4. Perimekar was only incorporated in 2001 shortly before the submarine contract was finalised.
5. It is now claimed by some parties that the fees were paid to Perimekar by the Malaysian Government and not by DCNS.
6. The cost of the submarines does not include an annual maintenance contract of RM50 million for 10 years recently awarded to BousteadDCNS, a subsidiary of BHB OR a 20-year escape, search and rescue contract estimated at RM100 million per year i.e. RM 2 billion over 20 years!
7. Allegations about Perimekar and Boustead's qualification and ability to undertake and perform these massive contracts have been questioned as a sham arrangement by Joseph Breham from a team of French lawyers, as well as by French MP’s and politicians who have filed an inquiry with French courts over charges that DCNS indulged in bribery and paid out huge (illegal) kickbacks routinely in such submarine construction and sales contracts. CLICK HERE http://www.lawstudentforum.co.uk/threads/immediately-after-his-acquittal-razak-baginda-left-the-country.10779/ . DCNS has been fined hundreds of millions of dollars for such irregularities in Taiwan, Pakistan and USA.
8. In 2006 the remains of a Mongolian national, ex-model and translator, Altantuya Shaarribuu, were found in a forest in Shah Alam, Selangor. She had apparently been shot through the head and her body blown up with plastic C4 explosives.
9. Following police investigations, Razak Baginda and two others, Chief Inspector Azilah Hadri, 30, and Corporal Sirul Azahar Umar,35, from the Unit Tindakan Khas or Malaysian Special Action Force Counter Terrorism Unit, were charged with Altantuya's murder. Azilah and Sirul had both been assigned to PM Najib's (deputy PM at the time of the murder) office as his bodyguards.
10. Testimony in court revealed that Altantuya had accompanied Baginda on several trips to France, had an affair with him and arrived in KL demanding US$500,000 from Baginda or threatened to tell all. Baginda was harassed at his home and office by Altantuya and her sisters.
11. Aide-De-Camp to PM Najib, Musa Safri was apparently the officer who had called the three cops who carted Altantuya away in their squad car from outside Razak Baginda’s home.
10. Spotted also outside the gates of Baginda’s house in his car shortly before Altantuya left in the company of Azilah, Sirul and Lance Corporal Rohaniza (Sirul’s lover) was Nasir Safar, a long-time special aide to Najib Razak who in 2010 was forced to resign his post (although to his credit he issued an apology) after making a racist speech about Indians coming to Malaysia as beggars and the Chinese, especially the women, coming here to sell their bodies.
12. At the trial which stretched from June 2007 to April 2009, the following were determined:
* Azilah testified that it was Musa Safri who asked him to contact Baginda to help him out with a “problem.”
* Sirul’s confession that he and Azilah were offered RM100,000 to “take care” of Altantuya and other revelations were not allowed to be admitted into evidence by the presiding judge. Neither Azilah nor Azilah testified as to who made the offer to them.
* Azilah and Sirul maintained till the end they did not kill Altantuya.
* Altantuya’s sister had testified that records of their visit to Malaysia had been erased by Malaysian Immigration and she had seen a photograph of PM Najib, Razak, Altantuya and others having lunch in Paris. PM Najib subsequently took an Islamic oath that he had never met Altantuya personally.
* Razak Baginda, whose lawyer read out an opening statement in which Baginda admitted to the affair with Altantuya, claimed he did not order Altantuya’s murder or have anything to do with it. During a break in the hearing, Baginda had gone berserk shouting ‘Die Pak Lah (M’sian PM up to April 2009) fuelling speculation that some sort of deal was being worked out behind the scenes.
* Baginda was found innocent and acquitted of all charges without his defence being called.
* Azilah and Sirul were found guilty of murder and sentenced to death by hanging. The matter is still pending finality as their appeals against conviction have not been heard.
13. Subsequently, an ex-cop and private investigator, PI Bala, engaged earlier by Baginda to assist and protect him from the blackmailing Altantuya tendered a Statutory Declaration at a press conference claiming, among other matters, that Baginda had told him PM Najib had introduced Altantuya to him and that Musa Safri was fully implicated in Altantuya’s disappearance. Following a visit to the Brickfields Police Station that same evening Bala completely withdrew his first SD the next morning by the device of a second SD denying all earlier allegations. Shortly afterwards, he then fled to India with his family amid swirling rumours he had been paid $5 million to retract his incendiary original SD after negotiations with parties (friends) purportedly linked to PM Najib’s wife and one of Najib’s brothers acting as intermediaries.
14. Then Bala followed up from somewhere overseas with a third SD and information claiming he had only been paid some RM800,000, been cheated of the rest and that his first SD was the true one which he had been coerced into withdrawing under duress!
15. Next, a weeks ago, “Pete” Raja Petra Kamaruddin, who set the nation on fire with his original 2008 posting at http://mt.m2day.org/2008/content/view/6604/84/ “Let’s Send The Altantuya Murderers To Hell” cleared up the misunderstanding that he had accused PM Najib and his wife of direct complicity in Altantuya’s killing in an interview with TV3. Clearly his SD opens with “I have reliably been informed...” which means it was based on hearsay from third parties. But the MSM, many bloggers, web surfers and even the police read what they wanted to read. Pete who was forced into exile in 2009 is now being vilified for his naivete in granting the interview which TV3 chose to air a day before elections in Sarawak and accused of “selling out” to the UMNO/BN Government led by PM Najib.
That’s it in a nutshell!
So, here are some questions that have been plaguing not just me, but I dare say, millions, and not just Malaysians alone: Wanna know what they are? Read Here http://donplaypuks.blogspot.com/2011/04/yes-pm-lets-really-send-altantuyas.html
By Yee Ziherng
My name is Yee Ziherng and I am a Malaysian. I stand firmly on the ground that I am a Malaysian first, Chinese second. So there are no debatable issues about races and religion here.
I have been gravely disheartened by the recent deluge of stories of Malaysians migrating. More and more people are jumping on the bandwagon of supporting the move while enumerating lists of alleged flaws and problems facing those who choose to remain, all the while without providing viable solutions to the problem.
I am not against people who work abroad; far from it, in fact, I admire them for working far away from their family in alien countries, earning in different currencies and, hopefully accumulating knowledge acquired abroad to contribute back to our country.
So what is the problem?
It would be very convenient if we were blessed with complete equality (in terms of education, work and business opportunities, etc). Convenient, but no more than a utopian dream. Race is not the question, nor the answer; how can it be, when emigrants consist of Malaysians of all races and faiths?
People leave for various reasons: be it due to low pay, rising inflation, poor governance at the helm, lack of structure and initiative to retain, attract, or nurture talents, flaws in the education system, or even because they feel that they or their talents would be better appreciated elsewhere.
Those who studied or worked abroad are being asked to remain abroad by their parents; peers complain that their salaries just about make ends meet; and every day we see new lows as politicians bicker about anything and everything except the economy and pressing social issues.
So after 54 years, the problem still boils back down to the issue of “equality, education, standard of living and, not to forget, dirty politics.”
Why has the situation kept its unsatisfactory status quo?
Simple, we only complain!
How many of us have actually tried to change? I am certainly not expecting Malaysians to think of “changing” as an act of running around the streets shouting (and later being hit by tear gas and water cannons). Change comes in many forms, and can be as simple as registering yourself as a voter. We have no right to complain if we don’t even bother exercising our basic rights as a Malaysian.
Here are some popular sentences that you might have heard before: “It doesn’t make a difference, so why vote?” “I will return to Malaysia when things get better.” or “I will be back when the country starts to appreciate me.” Sounds familiar?
Let me get things straight, change doesn’t happen overnight! You can’t expect things to be great and wonderful the next day when you just fold their hands and sit back. We should also stop blaming the system, the government and the country — basically everyone else but “us” — while enjoying perceived “equality” overseas.
We have people constantly blaming the politicians for failing to change, but the fundamental thing is, change actually starts within us, politicians are just a medium to represent the voices of the people.
Reasons to stay
It’s a truism that nothing will change for the better while we rest on our laurels: What matters is our initiative to work for it.
I too have friends who refuse to come back after graduating from foreign universities. They’ve seen the wider world, and are afraid of being ill-treated if they return, moreover they received no discouragement for their plans to pursue their careers overseas.
As I’ve mentioned, there is absolutely nothing wrong with not working in Malaysia, or even being an “ex-Malaysian”, but surely for every person who chooses to chase their overseas dreams, there is one who can’t, for financial or social reasons.
This latter group of people have no choice but to stay in the country and face the problems head-on, participating in the change they wish to see, while those who supposedly have a more worldly mentality and have had the advantage of a broader, wider education have rushed on ahead to allegedly greener pastures with nary a glance back.
Does the phrase ‘“Ask not what your country can do for you — ask what you can do for your country” by John F. Kennedy ring a bell? Most of us have directly or indirectly taken something from Malaysia — at the very least it shaped us into who we are today.
So why can’t we temporarily set aside our personal interests and fulfil our duty as a Malaysian? Of course if it critically concerns a person’s survival if he continues to stay in Malaysia then leaving might be justifiable. But how many of us leave because eking a living in Malaysia is no longer a viable option?
I am certainly not a jingoistic type of a Malaysian, but I will proudly declare that I am Malaysian. For this is the place I grew up in, this is home.
Trust me, Malaysia has not “gone to the dogs” yet, nor is it “doomed to fail” — there is huge potential for this country we love so long as we all do our part. We stay and we fight not only for ourselves, but also for a better future for future generations.
The question remains: “If all the Malaysians who are capable of contributing/changing the country left, who is left to save Malaysia?”
Admin Note:
Here we have eunuch's MCA. Gerakan, SUPP, LDP etc. servicing their Masters BN/Umno as Malaysia loses talent like Yee Ziherng who are replaced by Indonesians, Bangladeshis, Filipino's and anyone who is Muslim. At least if we get quality Muslims that will be okay, but what we get are mostly garbage who end up marrying Malay girls and qualify themselves as Malays. So, Joceline Tan after your failed spinning about PAS being taken over by Ulamak's why not take a dig on this but alas when you have the likes of Chua Soi Lek, Ng Yen Yen, Koh Tsu Koon, nothing much can be expected.
