It appears that Penang has been invaded by Mat Rempits. These menace on motorcycles come from different states. It has been learned by The Scribe that some 20,000 of these thugs have descended into Penang. They are causing a nuisanse to both the locals and tourists.
These thugs on motorcycles don't follow traffic rules and are also intimidating the public. They are also not paying for the food they buy. An interesting thing to note here is that these Mat Rempits come in uniformed t-Shirts of different colors with different logo designs.
Some are speculating that these Mat Rempits are the same Umno thugs who cause disturbances at opposition ceramahs and also at event organized by NGO's such as BERSIH and LYNAS. It is also very obvious that the Police is doing nothing about them.

The controversy in Malaysia regarding the use of the Arabic term 'Allah' for God by non-Muslims especially the Christians and Sikhs is actually a non issue. Here we have 60% of the population claiming to be Muslim (some may have actually renounced the religion but keep it a secret for fear of their safety), actually can't even speak or understand Arabic. What some can actually do is to memorize the Quran and recite it without actually knowing what it means. It's just like some Filipino singer singing a Mandarin song without even knowing Mandarin.
It is here where the danger lies. Muslim teachers and leaders such as Imams, Kadhis, Ustas, Ustazahs know nothing about other religions but yet think they havew God's authority to condemn and pass judgements on other religions. They preach and teach hatred to the Muslim faithful who end up having a seige mentality and a phobia of other religions.
What these Muslim leaders, preachers and teachers must accept that ISLAM IS EQUAL TO ALL RELIGIONS IN THE EYES OF THE ALMIGHTY AND THAT NO ONE RELIGION IS ABOVE THE OTHER. If they can accept these only then can we have peace and tolerance. Muslims must accept the fact that some of them aren't gonna make it to Heaven just like those of other faiths if they continue with this WE ARE HOLIER THAN THEM BUSINESS!
